Prior to reserving a yacht, please ensure you understand this policy thoroughly. By finalizing a reservation with EquitableCommonsLoop, you consent to these refund conditions.

Cancellation and Refund Guideline

Over 72 Hours Prior to Charter

100% Refund

Qualified for: Full refund except for administrative charges

Processing Duration: 5-7 working days

Administrative Charge: €50 for credit card payments

Requirements: Request must be made formally through email or phone

Between 24 and 72 Hours Prior to Charter

50% Refund

Qualified for: Half the total cost of the charter

Processing Duration: 7-10 working days

Administrative Charge: €25 which will be deducted from the refund

Requirements: Cancellation must be justified; service costs apply

Less Than 24 Hours Prior to Charter

No Refund

Qualified for: Refunds are not provided

Exception: We may consider cases of emergency

Alternative Option: We might issue a credit for the charter at the discretion of the management

Requirements: Evidence is required for emergency situations

Refunds Due to Weather Conditions

Weather Guarantee Commitment

We prioritize safety above all else. In the event that weather conditions are deemed hazardous for sailing by our authorized skipper, we present several flexible solutions:

  • Fully Refunded: If an alternative schedule is not possible
  • Rescheduling: Change to an available date without extra costs
  • Charter Credit: A voucher valid for a year from the original charter date

Procedure for Weather Evaluation

We assess the weather situation by looking into:

  • Analysis of wind patterns and directions
  • Ocean wave height and conditions
  • Forecasts on visibility and rainfall
  • Advisories and warnings from the Coast Guard
  • Assessment of safety by our professional skipper

Decision Making Time-frame: Any decisions regarding weather cancellations are made at least 4 hours before the charter departs.

Refunds in the Event of a Medical Emergency

Situations of Urgency

We acknowledge that medical emergencies can happen unexpectedly. The following instances might be considered for exceptional refunds:

  • A sudden disease or injury that requires hospital care
  • Passing away of a direct family member
  • Emergency military call-up or deployment
  • Imperative jury service or court orders
  • Disasters which impact travel

Documentation Required

For your emergency refund request to be processed, please supply:

  • Evidence from medical institutions or hospital records
  • A death certificate, if applicable
  • Official command from the military
  • Notice of jury duty or court subpoena
  • Emergency declarations or travel warnings

Processing: Upon the provision of the appropriate documents, emergency refunds will be executed within a timeframe of 3-5 business days.

Cancellations due to Operational Issues

Technical Difficulties

Should the vessel designated for you encounter technical problems that cannot be remedied:

  • Replacement Vessel: We will try to find a suitable substitute
  • Fully Refunded: In the absence of a replacement option
  • Partially Refunded: If the replacement vessel is priced differently
  • Compensation: You may be offered additional reimbursement for the inconvenience faced

Shortage of Crew

In the rare case there is a lack of available certified crew:

  • An alternate crew is sought whenever possible
  • Fully refunded if the charter is unable to go ahead
  • Option to reschedule without extra fees

Refund Procedure

Payment Method

Refunds are conveyed via the same payment method used for the original reservation:

  • Credit Card Transactions: 5-7 business days
  • Bank Transfers: 7-10 business days
  • Cash or Cheque: 3-5 business days

Administrative Fees

For Credit Card Transactions

A €50 fee applies to cancellations made more than 72 hours in advance

For Bank Transfer Refunds

A €25 fee applies to all returns via bank transfer

For International Transactions

Additional fees might be incurred for transactions crossing international borders

Policy on Charter Credits

Issuance of Credits

In some cases, rather than a refund, we may offer credits towards the charter, such as:

  • Late cancellations occurring less than 24 hours in advance
  • Cancellations related to weather
  • Requests made voluntarily to change the booking
  • Disruptions in operations

Conditions of the Credit

  • Validity: Credits are valid for one year from the date of issue
  • Transferability: Credits cannot be transferred to others
  • Amount: Credits cover the entire value of the charter without any administrative fees
  • Application: Credits can be used on any available yacht rentals
  • Expiry: The credit must be used within the 12-month period without extensions

Compensation for Incomplete Services

Disruptions during the Charter

If your cruise is interrupted or cut short due to situations we are responsible for:

  • A portion of your payment may be returned, prorated based on the time not used
  • A credit of equal value for a future charter
  • Complimentary services or potential upgrades may be provided

Interruptions Caused by Guests

If a charter is ended ahead of schedule on account of guest misconduct or breaches of safety:

  • No refund for the period not utilized
  • Full charges for the booking continue to apply
  • Additional costs may be demanded

Process for Dispute Settlement

In the case of disagreement regarding a reimbursement decision, you may:

  • Apply for an assessment from our management team
  • Submit further documentation or proof
  • Look for a resolution through consumer defense entities
  • Explore legal actions as per the laws applicable

Step 3: Confirmation and Action

Our team will confirm receipt of your application within a day, review it in accordance with this policy, inform you of the decision in 48 hours, and carry out the return process according to the defined timelines.

  • All applications for refunds need to be documented in writing
  • Refunds will be issued in €, irrespective of the currency used for payment
  • We strongly advise obtaining travel insurance
  • Policy changes can be made with a notice period of 30 days
